Jubilee publication for Prof.' von Heusinger on her 60th birthday

To celebrate Prof.' von Heusinger's 60th birthday, Julia Bruch, Eva-Maria Cersovsky and Andreas Lehnertz are publishing a commemorative publication entitled “Von unbequemen Dominikanern, organisierten Handwerkern und gefertigten Dingen”.
From October 2024 to October 2025, the festschrift will be published as an ongoing project: new articles dedicated to Prof.' von Heusinger's diverse fields of research will be released every month. At the end of the jubilee year, all articles will be available in two partial volumes. The articles can currently be viewed online:

WDR-Interview with Sabine von Heusinger (german)

In this episode of "WDR5 - Curiosity Suffices", presenter Martin Nusch examines the idiom "Um's Eck gehen".  It starts with a short interview with Prof.' Sabine von Heusinger, in which she provides insights into the cultural history of going to the lavatory and the changing attitudes towards the body.

DFG research project

In summer 2023 Prof.' von Heusinger was funded for a three-year research project on the topic of “From individual pieces to serial production: transformation processes in medieval crafts”. All important information and a link to the funding organisation can be found here.
